ABOUT

Welcome to OOKVISION, brought to you by Nathan Star Ho, also known as "OOK" in the Australian Skateboarding Scene.
Skateboarding changed my life for the better and I want to mentor and support Skateboard enthusiasts to develop some empowering life-skills to function optimally in the world.
Skateboarders have a unique way of experiencing and relating to life. There are a lot of role-models and environments of belonging in Skateboarding but there is a wide gap in our understanding and management of things such as;
-
Alcohol and drug abuse,
-
Death and grief
-
Depression,
-
Emotional regulation,
-
Life after school,
-
Mental health,
-
Personal care,
-
Relationships,
-
Self-esteem,
-
Sexuality,
-
Social skills,
-
Schooling, study and academic skills,
-
Stress management and
-
Suicide.

Having experienced my own challenges in these areas, I’ve undertaken extensive study and committed to my own personal growth over the past 12 years.
My time as a Skateboard Videographer; filming and editing Skate Videos with my closest friends taught me that life is precious.
Every moment matters and even if we decide to edit out the bails and slams, we need to make each moment count.
The feeling of wanting to bridge these gaps in health and wellbeing is like finding a new gap or to skate; to help and support other Skateboarders is like having fun learning a new trick, taking it to a spot and riding away.
To light a fire, raise the stoke and live a life with that same kind of fire and stoke.

Mission:
To empower Skateboarders to be at their best, find themselves and their peace, place and purpose in the world.
Vision:
To enrich the lives of Skateboarders past, present and future and promote longevity into Skateboarding as an art, community, culture and sport.

I look forward to supporting you off board so that you can show up better on board.
